SLM Solutions

Hab mir das Video und auch das Video von Siemens über SLM Solutions auf Linkedin angeschaut...
Also ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob Safran wirklich eine SLM Solutions Maschine einsetzen wird in der neuen Fabrik...die Videosequenz ist sehr "generisch" gehalten, da lässt sich alles reininterpretieren.
Oder hab ich was überhört bzw. übersehen?  

I think he was clearly speaking of the need of a large machine with a large number of laser for this new factory, I would need to rewatch it to be sure. will do it later to clarify

Yes agreed ! "challenge for Safran is to building new type of parts and bringing productivity to our customer, for that we need a plate that can allow us to bring new part that were not acheivable with current sizes of the machines [..] and second point we need to have quality + productivity and having an important of laser + power  of the laser  is a way to get the challenge we have"

So plate + high number of high power laser is directly targeting to the new machine, however its true that he didn't say that they bought one directly.
But why would SLM publish that with the new machine in background if it was not to tease a sale ? I mean it could be to fool us also ^^  

Auf Twitter wurde ein weiteres Video veröffentlich, diesmal vom COO von 3DnA

Ich glaube, das ist mehr eine Marketingkampagne von SLM  

Probably, 3DnA seems to be specialized in polymer materials and I don't see them starting metal powder bed fusion with such a big machine upfront.

Scheint etwas zu werden mit dieser Maschine.

 

sie braucht etwas Zeit aber sie läuft wieder langsam zu alten Höhen.  

First SLM NXG600 sold to a car manufacturer in the US ! See twitter post for ref. Good to see sells for this expensive machine already !  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3D systems annonces a very good Q4 in sales and hit 25% more revenue than the expectation.
The share doubled yesterday and all the additive manufacturing sector benefited from that !
Thats encouraging for SLM who is a major competitor of 3D system in metal additive manufacturing, so we can expect some rebound in machine sales in Q4 2020.

Also as a side note on other companies in additive :
I have also some shares of Prodways that I would recommend who's a big competitor of 3D system a bit under the radar for now :

Prodways did not yet benefited from this good news flow and seems undervalued but might get positive surprise on yearly announces to come.

Mit ein paar guten News zu Aufträgen und ggfls. Übernahmefantasien könnte es schon wieder langsam zu alten Höhen klettern.

Besser langsam und nachhaltig, als überstürzt.  

und vor allem gegen den allegemeinen Trend. Starker Auftakt im neuen Jahr.

Wie geschrieben, noch ordentlich Luft nach oben. Vielleicht haben wir bald wieder einen neuen 3D Druck Hype. Wenn auch nur einen kleinen.
